This is one of those books where as soon as I finish it I have to google “[title] explained”. Did I miss something because I spaced out too much during the audiobook? Or is much of the plot just intentionally left to the reader’s imagination? (I think it’s the latter?) I’m generally a fan of books staying short, but I think I wanted a bit more exposition out of this one. Still, Martine’s writing is enjoyable.
I like the idea of people intentionally coupling their buildings to idiosyncratic AIs. Let’s make that a reality (minus the unwillingness-to-cooperate-in-a-murder-investigation part).
