For some reason I had continual difficulty paying attention to this audiobook. My failure to get much out of it may be my fault rather than the author’s. One thing I find notable is that Dixon emphasizes blockchain-based decentralization as a way to remove power from corporations rather than as a way to remove power from governments. I think Bitcoin advocates are often perceived as being driven by the latter motivation—a libertarian desire to evade government authority—and I wonder if blockchain generally would be viewed with less disdain by the left if the anti-Big-Tech motive were more prominent in the discourse.
